"All that is necessary for the forces of evil to win the world is for enough good men to do nothing."
Edmund Burke (1729-1797)
I saw this on a plaque at a local museum last year around this time. I have thought about it often.
I have thought about how our "fighting" men are not appreciated and our passive men are not happy.
Do you think the church is effective in encouraging men to be the "fighters" that they are meant to be?
I know this opens up a whole debate on gender roles and nature vs. nurture issues. What do you think? Are men made to be heroes or is that just a fairy tale?
