Just as He Said

I have no clever words or funny one-liners. I have labored over this post because I long to convey to you  what a beautiful thing God has done for you. (and no getting mad at me for preaching at you, because you are choosing to read this)

I want you to know, dear reader, that today I celebrate a glorious event: the day my Savior died for me. I want you to know that He died for you, too. He gave all He had because of His great love for you.

You may not know Him, you may not like Him, you may hate all things Christian, but it really makes no difference. He has already paid the price for your apathy, unbelief, or hypocrisy. He died for you, on a cross, with blood pouring from His body, as people mocked Him. He did that so you could be healed, so humanity could be healed.
"He was despised and forsaken of men, A man of sorrows and acquainted with grief; and like one from whom men hide their face. He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. Surely our griefs He Himself bore and our sorrows He carried; yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken, smitten of God and afflicted. But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; The chastening for our well being fell upon Him, and by His scourging we are healed. All of us like sheep have gone astray, Each of us has turned to his own way, but the Lord has caused the iniquity of us all to fall on Him." - Isaiah 53:3-6

He has thrown the ball in our court now.
While we were still helpless, at the right time, Christ died for the ungodly. - Romans 5:6
It's up to you, I already made my decision.
If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;  for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.  For the Scripture says, "WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED." Romans 10:9-11

I hope you will join me in celebrating, not His death, but His glorious resurrection, His conquering of death, His great gift. He is God and your decision will not change that, but your decision will change you.
